Instructions for Running Guiffy InstallAnywhere on Unix

Instructions:

If you're downloading the Unix install package on Windows, do NOT use MicroSoft's Internet Explorer --- IE does NOT recognize the .bin file type. Any other browser we've tested on Windows will download and save the .bin file fine (Mozilla, Netscape, Opera, or Firefox).

After downloading and saving the .bin file on your Unix system, open a shell and cd to the directory where you downloaded the installer.
At the prompt type: sh ./guf84ins.bin

Notes:

You need to install a Java 1.2.2 (or later) virtual machine. The links for downloading Java for Unix are on Guiffy's download page - at the bottom of the page.
Be sure to add the path for .../bin/java to your PATH
