APRIL, 2010: BUG 410:Reported by Netta in Guiffy 9.1/Build 280: SureMerge results not as expected with one of our merge cases. The merge result isn't incorrect, but, it could be expressed with fewer Attentions. JULY, 2009: BUG 395:Reported by Tom Thomas(Guiffy Software), in Guiffy 9.0/Build 266 on MacOS: The guiffy About displays Version 10.0, NOT 9.0. STATUS: FIXED in Release 9.0(Build 267). NOTE:This is caused by a bug in the Installer (InstallAnywhere) product we use to build Guiffy's installer/launchers. We developed a custom installer action to workaround the problem. FEBRUARY, 2009: BUG 394:Reported by Katie in Guiffy 8.6/Build 260: One of our SureMerge cases gets a CONFUSED Warning - we have to do the merge manually. STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.6(Build 262). BUG 393:Reported by Katie in Guiffy 8.4/Build 248: Large file compares (over 2MB) seem to lock the files. We can't edit and Save the file (in another application) without exiting Guiffy. JANUARY, 2009: BUG 392:Reported by Katie in Guiffy 8.4/Build 248: Sometimes, when we do the Save in SureMerge we see a Warning "Do you want to save the merge file with Attentions which will be marked?". STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.4(Build 248). APRIL, 2008: BUG 386:Reported by Hugo in Guiffy 8.2/Build 234 on Linux: In the folder compare view, double-click on a file (that is a link) doesn't work. Instead of running the file comnpare view, it asks whether to do a new folder compare. STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.4(Build 245). BUG 385:Reported by Bruce in Guiffy 8.4/Build 242 on any platform: After viewing my Ignore options (with Regular Expressions), And hitting cancel in the dialog, And then saving my settings... File and folder compares abort with NPE (Null Pointer Exception). STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.4(Build 244). WORKAROUND: Disable your regular expressions, Hit OK in the dialog, Re-enter the dialog, Enable your regular expressions, Hit OK in dialog, Re-Save your Settings. Now, file and folder compares will run. MARCH, 2008: BUG 384:Reported by Terry in Guiffy 8.4/Build 242 on any platform: When I compare 2 of my larger files, the compare screens are blank. The debug log shows a Null Pointer Exception in Jiffy. STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.4(Build 243). STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.0(Build 212). BUG 362:Reported by Devin F. in OH, in Guiffy 7.4/Build 198 on any platform: During a merge, select all of the last line, delete, and then backspace. All the text seems to disappear --- its invisible but still there. STATUS: FIXED in Release 8.0(Build 212). Workarounds: Just don't do the backspace (its not needed) -OR- Select the last line and do an Edit -> Mark as removed.
