MKS Integrity 2006 compare merge integration

The following documents how to integrate Guiffy SureMerge with MKS Integrity 2006.

These notes are for Windows specifically. On other platforms, set your PATH and specify the guiffy.exe as approriate. To integrate Guiffy with MKS Integrity 2006 first ensure that the guiffy.exe has been added to your PATH environment variable. External merge tools are specified in the MKS Integrity Client "Preferences" dialgog as the Custom Merge Tool. The possible arguments are:

{0} Title for the base object
{1} Title for the file we are merging from
{2} Title for the file we are merging to
{3} Title for the working file
{4} Path for the base object
{5} Path for the file we are merging from
{6} Path for the file we are merging to
{7} Path for the working file
{8} Path for the output file(same as working file)

In Guiffy terms the base object is Guiffy's parent file, the from is Guiffy's 1st, the to is Guiffy's 2nd, and the working file is Guiffy's merge result. To use Guiffy SureMerge for 3-way auto merges enter:
guiffy.exe -s -h1"{1}" -h2"{2}" -hm"{3}" "{5}" "{6}" "{4}" "{7}"
