Guiffy Software develops and supports advanced software
development utilities and components, and has been providing
its multi-award winning source compare/merge Guiffy product
since 2000. Research and development leading up to Guiffy's
launch began in 1997.
Guiffy is a Pure Java application with a Swing GUI, available
on all Java-enabled platforms including: Windows,
MacOS, Linux, and Unix. Guiffy features 2-way or 3-way
merge interfaces. Guiffy's trustworthy merge capability, called
SureMerge, combined with an intuitive visual user interface and
cross-platform availability, make it an excellent tool for
developers in collaborative communities. Guiffy can be used as
a stand-alone tool or integrated with CM/SCM products.
The Company provides a full range of Support for its customers,
starting with free trial downloads of its award winning
products, email, user groups, and telephone contact with live
knowledgeable support personnel, all of whom
have over 15 years experience in software support,
documentation, quality and deployment.
Guiffy Software, Inc., originally founded in Escondido, CA,
relocated to Festus, MO in 2005. Festus is
approximately 30 miles south of St. Louis.

Guiffy Software was founded by Bill Ritcher. Mr. Ritcher serves
as its Chairman & CEO and is also the creator of the
Guiffy product. Bill is an experienced
software industry veteran with over 20 years' experience in
founding, nurturing, managing, developing and supporting
commercial software product companies.
Most recently, Mr. Ritcher held the position of
Director, GEMBASE Development with Ross Systems, Inc., a
leading provider of ERP products and services. From 1988 to
1995, he served as Vice President of Quintessential Solutions,
the leading provider of analytical wide-area data network
design and pricing tools. Mr. Ritcher was a founder of
Quintessential Solutions, and while there authored a number of
successful data network least-cost design products. In 1983,
Mr. Ritcher co-founded System Engineering Tools, Inc. and
created SCIL, the first CM product available on 8-bit CP/M
systems and the IBM PC.
Mr. Ritcher began his career at United Computing Systems where
he rose to the position of Director, Operating Systems
Development. Mr Ritcher holds a BSBA degree in Systems Analysis
and Management from Rockhurst University.
